Procedural galaxy fly-through
Halogram
Here is a demo of some of my cosmological simulation visualisation work, originally designed for virtual reality, named Halogram.

Takes a few moments to load (you may need to be patient with the grey screen!).
Apologies if the player is a bit glitchy - left click on it and hit R to reset the scene if it gets stuck!

How it works
This is a WebGL build of a Unity project, originally created for a real-time rendered fly through of a cosmological simulation in virtual reality.

It takes a 10 Megaparsec-per-side simulation from EAGLE, and procedurally generates an image of a galaxy for every halo, as well as showing (with a right-click) where the dark matter particles of the simulation are...
Use the dark matter window to see the halo of invisible particles around where each galaxy resides.
Grow the dark matter window to fill the whole screen to view the cosmic web.
Map luminous galaxies onto clumps of dark matter.
Might there be invisible dwarf galaxies we can only see in dark matter?
